2) A Plan to Establish a Center for Environmental Technology Research and Development that is Open to Asian Countries:

[1] Building a network comprising Fukuoka prefectural/municipal research institutes as core members, universities and environment-related companies both in Japan and in Asian countries to form a cluster for environmental technology research and development and environmental industry in the area of Ito campus of Kyushu University.
[2] Contributing to creating environmental business in Japan, China, Taiwan, South Korea, and other Asian countries.
[3] Contributing to the protection of the environment in Asian countries.
